Uncut

“The film is inspired by the recent Texas abortion law, as well as the willingness of the GOP to embrace far right, white nationalist members, allowing them to take control of the party, and push the country towards a Christofascist state.
It puts the shoe on the other foot when it comes to control over one's body.

Filmed on a minuscule budget of under $1k, and a crew of 2 consisting of myself and the DP, the film opens with a speech by the newly elected president of the New Republic Patriot Party, talking about the new law that requires all males over 35 to be sterilized to keep the gene pool strong.
Our main character is about to turn 35, and doesn't want to submit to the forced sterilization .
He learns about an underground railroad that helps men like him to escape the country, and he goes on the run.”- Mark Hensley

What People Are Saying

“Mahard delivers each witty comment with a deadpan that makes for huge laughs.”

— MLive

“Mahard’s “Gwen” toggles between her Connecticut Yale- educated real-life character and the gum- chewing waitress she plays on stage with genuine depth, and (speaking as a New Jersey native) she nails the dialect of a Jersey City/Hoboken waitress- a dialect that is easy to exaggerate.”

— Encore

“Mahard is a standout as Catherine, who doesn’t have the lineage or the mansion to be considered a typical Southern belle, but nonetheless possesses the innate ability to always be at the center of attention. Mahard, speaking in a buttery drawl, plays Catherine with alternating doses of sweetness and overbearance.”

— Mind The Gap

“The centerpiece is Anne, played with spunk and drive by Kathryn Mahard. Her youthful exuberance and warmth light the stage making the outcome that much more devastating.”
